This references the FAA’s Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulation’s (14 CFR’s) Part 107 that outlines rules governing commercial operation of small unmanned aircraft systems (“sUAS”) (“Drones”) in US National Airspace.

If a drone accident results in:

1.) Damage to property with repair costs over $500 OR 2.) serious injury defined as requiring hospitalization or loss of consciousness even if the person is fine after fainting, the drone pilot must report the incident to the FAA within 10 calendar days.
